One: Favorite lead female character

Karen Starr aka Power Girl
I love PG because she’s tough, sexy, and funny, but also because she has always felt like a very real character to me.  It’s not often that you get to see a female character that other people (particularly other superheroes) are scared of, but she fits that bill.  She’s gone head-to-head with some of DC’s heaviest hitters and come out on top.  She’s also written as having a temper, something that is often discouraged in female characters.  In spite of that temper, and the fact that she’s one of the strongest people in the world, PG spends her time out of costume trying to help the world through funding nanotechnology research.  As billionaire playboy disguises go, that’s a pretty good one.
